More than $1 million has been raised for the six-year-old boy who lost every member of his family in the mass shooting that took place in Allen, Texas, over the weekend. According to reports, a shooter opened fire at the outlet mall on Saturday, May 6, while Cindy Cho, 35, Kyu Cho, 37, and their children William, 6, and James, 3, were there.
Cindy, Kyu, and their son James were among the eight people who died in the senseless attack. William, who was shot and wounded, is now dealing with the loss of his parents and brother. Seven more people were hurt before the shooter was killed by an Allen police officer who happened to be at the outlet mall on an unrelated call.

The shooter, 33-year-old Mauricio Garcia, reportedly drove to the outlet center before opening fire with an AR-15 rifle. Garcia joined the US Army in June 2008, but the US Department of Defense claims that he was “terminated three months later without completing initial entry training” due to “physical or mental conditions.
