Frequently asked which of the boys is hers, a black and white twin mother shares her unique and heartwarming story.

When she gave birth in February of that year, the 31-year-old Nigerian had no idea what awaited her. She can now easily tell the difference between her sons’ identical twins. Daniel and David were born just a few minutes apart, but they look nothing alike.

The albinos are the children of Stacey and Babajide, who are black and live in Lagos. With their strikingly different looks, the adorable twins attract attention wherever they go.

David is strikingly white, with fair skin and golden hair, while Danielle has curly black hair, just like her five-year-old sister Demirade. Stacey’s decision to share the couple’s activities on Instagram has helped the twins gain around 18,000 followers in just over a year.

Everyone was surprised when the twins were born on February 26 last year.

“We did not know about their differences while I was pregnant, the scan did not show much, so it was a huge surprise and the most amazing moment when the first twin (Daniel) came out with black hair and the second twin (David) came out with gold hair.

I had them via CS, so the doctors said, “It appears you are having unidentical twins.” “Nurses started coming out to look at them before I knew it,” Stacy, a mother of three, explained.

The twins were easily distinguished because one was black and the other was white.

Stacy shared her husband’s heartfelt reaction to this turn of events with us.

“Their father was overjoyed and immediately named My Twin 2 (David) ‘Golden,’ so he affectionately refers to him as Mr. Golden. He was overjoyed to see his boys.

He stared at them for more than ten minutes, saying he was looking at God’s wonderful work and that they were his best gift ever.”

David has albinism, which is extremely rare; only one in every 20,000 infants is born with this condition.

Albinism is a congenital condition characterized by a lack of melanin, the pigment produced in the skin, hair, and eyes. All racial and ethnic groups are affected, and the type of pigmentation has varying degrees of influence.

Albinism is a rare condition with a birth probability of between 3,000 and 20,000. Albinos must exercise extreme caution because it can cause various skin and vision issues.

David has beautiful golden hair and a pale complexion due to albinism. Fortunately, Stacy claims that David is in good health.

Nigeria has one of the highest rates of albinism in the world, with over two million confirmed or suspected cases. However, statistics show that this community is still stigmatized because of the color of its members’ skin.

Over 600,000 Nigerians who are albino face discrimination and harassment from their peers, family, and communities, which frequently leads to job difficulties and academic failure.

Stacy did claim that her two sons are both unconditionally and equally adored and that no one has ever said anything negative to her about them.

“Whenever we go out, there are always side conversations, people often want to know how and what’s going on, and maybe because of their cute and adorable nature, you just want to come close to say hello.”

Because of their unusual features, the twins’ family has received modeling offers from agencies in the United Kingdom. The family is ready to seize any opportunities that may arise, and they have set up an Instagram account to share their joy and draw attention to important issues. Stacy and I decided to open an account to raise awareness because we believe they have a story to tell.

“They have two different amazing personalities, they are a year and a half old, walking and very playful,” Stacy explained.

“Daniel is more expressive, whereas David is a bystander. They are both extremely inquisitive. Daniel is a foodie, whereas David is a picky eater; Daniel is extremely playful, whereas David selects moments; Daniel always likes to play the older brother role; they are both energetic.”
