An 80-year-old man makes breakfast for his wife every morning in a nursing home. It was a question: “Why is his wife in a nursing home?”. “He has Alzheimer’s disease,” he retorted”.
Then he inquired, “Will my wife be concerned if I don’t bring her breakfast one day?”. I don’t remember, he admitted afterward. He isn’t even familiar with my identity. I have not seen him in five years.
He was asked by a shocked nurse.
He smiled and said, “She doesn’t know who I am, but I know who she is. Why do you bring breakfast every morning if your wife doesn’t remember you?”.
