Kelly Clarkson Scores a Major Win in Court Amid Ongoing Divorce Battle

Kelly Clarkson has achieved a significant legal win in her ongoing divorce battle with ex-husband Brandon Blackstock. Blackstock, who was not only Clarkson’s husband and father to their two children but also her manager, has been revealed to have unlawfully taken millions of dollars during his tenure.

Recent documents obtained by TMZ disclose that a judge has ruled Brandon owes Kelly over $2.6 million in unlawfully collected booking commissions. As per the law, only agents are legally entitled to earn commissions from their clients, not managers. Shockingly, Brandon pocketed more than $1.98 million in commissions just from Kelly’s role as a coach on The Voice.

Appeal and Ongoing Legal Battles

Brandon is now appealing the judge’s decision. Despite the gravity of the situation, neither his team nor Kelly’s has made a public statement regarding this specific legal matter. Nevertheless, this court ruling marks a notable victory for Kelly as she continues to navigate the complexities of her divorce proceedings.

Divorce Settlement Finalized

Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock have officially finalized their divorce, with both parties agreeing to various terms. Kelly will make a one-time payment of over $1.3 million to Brandon, along with monthly child support payments of $45,601 for their two children, River Rose (7) and Remington Alexander (5). These child support payments began in February. The couple has agreed to joint custody, with the children spending most of their time with Kelly at her Los Angeles home. Reflecting current health realities, the children will be vaccinated against COVID-19 due to the travel expected between Kelly’s home and Brandon’s Montana ranch.

Property and Support Agreements

In the property settlement, Kelly will retain ownership of both Montana properties. Brandon will pay $2,000 per month to live in one of these properties until June. Additionally, Kelly will be responsible for spousal support payments of $115,000 per month to Brandon until January 31, 2024. These financial arrangements mark a significant aspect of their divorce settlement.

Division of Assets and Personal Possessions

The division of assets between Kelly and Brandon includes various personal possessions and vehicles. Kelly will receive several vehicles, including a Ford Bronco, a Ford F-250, and a Porsche Cayenne, as well as the family pets and a flight simulator. Brandon will retain ownership of farm cattle, livestock, stock dogs, horses, and multiple vehicles, including a Ford F-350, a Ford F-250, an ATV, and several CAT snowmobiles. Additionally, he will keep luxury Patek Philippe watches and a golf simulator.

Kelly filed for divorce from Brandon in June 2020 after seven years of marriage. By July 2021, she had requested to be declared legally divorced, emphasizing that both she and Brandon deserved the opportunity to start fresh.

She was officially declared legally single in August of that year. This period has been undoubtedly challenging for Kelly, but she has remained open and transparent with her fans, sharing her journey and exemplifying resilience. Her strength and candor have made her an inspiration to many as she moves forward with grace.
