Singer and actor Donny Osmond is well-known. The fact that he first performed as a family act with his four older brothers before beginning a solo career, however, may surprise some people.
He still made it a point to help his brothers in all aspects of their lives even after starting a solo career. His thoughts were constantly on his brothers.
Merrill Osmond, Donny’s older brother, is a talented performer as well. Senior Osmond made the announcement that this would be his final performance a few months ago. Donny made sure to see the illustrious show.
The performer uploaded a photo of an emotional moment he shared with his brother while performing on stage, in which Donny tightly hugged his older brother from behind.
It was a night I’ll never forget, he sweetly wrote next to the photo. I attended the last US concert of my brother Merrill. I began to sing along with the appreciative audience as I watched him perform at the Westgate theater, where we gave a joint performance in the 1970s. When he invited me to accompany him after the performance, I couldn’t help but give my brother a heartfelt farewell embrace as he sang his final song. The sound of the music was created by Merrill’s vocals, but the Osmonds were all of us. It was a wonderful experience. I appreciate it, my brother”.
I will always remember that evening. I attended my brother Merrill’s last performance in the US. When we both performed at the Westgate Theater in the 1970s, I became a fan of his as I listened to him and sang along with all of the other fans there.
It’s so sweet to hear the two brothers talking together so tenderly. It’s nice that Donny not only went to see his brother perform at his final concert in Las Vegas, but also thanked his older brother for supporting his younger brother’s career in a sweet Instagram post and cute photo.
