The world we live in today makes practicing the little things that matter more important than at any other time in recent memory.
Even small acts of kindness can have a big impact on someone’s day.
Kind deeds done with strangers in mind are always graciously received. Finally, being kind makes you feel good and sometimes goes further than you think.
Brooke Ochoa, a local of Louise, Texas, saw a more senior woman entering a café as she was going in for lunch. She regarded the 30-year-old’s holding open the door for the woman as being courteous. She was unaware that the woman’s remark a few moments later would trigger a series of events that would make her famous.
They both entered the restaurant simultaneously, and Brooke overheard the woman ask for a “table for one.”.
When Brooke noticed the woman intended to eat alone, she went over to her and did her another favor. Today reported that Brooke approached the woman’s table and said, “I’m eating alone as well. “How about we get lunch together?”.
Dolores, the woman, approved of Brooke’s arrangement. She was, nonetheless, pleased for the company. The two reportedly grew close and spoke frequently while eating, according to ABC 6.
Dolores confessed to Brooke that she had been struggling in the new times. “Come to find out, she spent the last ten years living with her mother, who recently passed away, and her auntie, who recently was placed into a nursing home,” Brooke wrote in a subsequent Facebook post about the incident. ”.
Without any support from others, she has considered it to be problematic.
She continued, “She just kept smiling and saying thanks for listening, which made me smile as well. In the same way that her words had helped me, I had also helped her lonely heart.
Dolores and Brooke decided to have lunch together every Thursday because they were having such a good time talking.
The fact that Brooke later disclosed that Dolores had passed away soon after their initial meeting showed how much she had improved her life.
This chance meeting serves as proof that even the smallest deeds of kindness have a big impact on the lives of those who receive them. They relied on one another for comfort even though neither was aware of Dolores’ finite amount of time on earth.
The world would be much happier if more people thought and behaved like Brooke does!
