The Morphew family has chosen to break their prolonged silence and engage the public three years after Suzanne Morphew’s perplexing disappearance and the subsequent dismissal of murder charges against her husband, Barry.
On Mother’s Day in 2020, Barry is suspected of committing the horrific crime in Salida while Suzanne was out biking.
In May 2021, Barry was first accused of killing his wife.
Despite a thorough search, Suzanne’s body has not yet been found.
Barry’s charges were dropped by the prosecution last year as a result of the district attorney’s office breaking the rules governing the sharing of evidence. The opportunity is currently being used by Barry and his daughters to raise awareness of the problem.
The deceased’s daughters, Mallory and Macy Morphew, recently discussed their mental health issues and the tragic effects the incident has had on their lives in an interview.
They went through great anguish and confusion as they dealt with their mother’s mysterious disappearance.
Throughout this traumatic ordeal, the Morphew family has endured unspeakable trauma. When questioned about it in the ABC interview, Barry vehemently denied any involvement, demonstrating how upsetting and damaging such accusations were to his integrity and character.
Mallory and Macy maintained their unwavering support for their father, claiming they had never had any doubts about his innocence.
Barry criticized the prosecutors for having “tunnel vision,” focusing only on him as a suspect and dismissing other possibilities.
In his sincere description, Barry portrayed Suzanne as a loving and compassionate wife and mother who was overcoming the challenges of chemotherapy and medication therapies.
He admitted that Suzanne had made bad decisions and had had extramarital relationships, which had caused him a great deal of pain.
The Morphew family’s experiences have been nothing short of tragic, leaving them to deal with the tragic loss of a dear family member, which was made worse by the widespread implications of the criminal charges and the on-going media attention.

Barry Morphew also took action by bringing a federal civil rights lawsuit and requesting $15 million in damages.
More than 20 prosecutors and law enforcement officials are accused of conspiring in this case to falsely arrest the defendant, create false evidence, conceal undeniable evidence, and carry out a careless investigation that resulted in Morphew’s erroneous indictment.
According to the legal complaint, Morphew was held for five months before spending a further six months donning a GPS ankle monitor. He spent nearly a year defending himself against the charges of criminal activity.
Because the investigation is still ongoing, the Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office is still in charge of his property. The sheriff’s department, board of commissioners, Chaffee County, Colorado Bureau of Investigation, and FBI agents are all specifically mentioned in the case, along with Judge Linda Stanley of the Eleventh Judicial District and her staff.
According to Morphew, their combined actions have irreparably harmed his name and reputation in Colorado and across the country.
