“Surprising Turn of Events: Susan Sarandon, Star of ‘Thelma & Louise,’ Arrested in New York at the Age of 76”

Susan Sarandon was handcuffed this week after being arrested for protesting at the New York State Capitol in Albany. According to reports, the Thelma and Louise actress took part in a protest against a new law that exempted restaurant employees who receive tips from receiving the same increase in the minimum wage as those who do not.

Legislators in New York state have confirmed plans to increase the minimum wage to $17 per hour, despite the fact that the initial plans did not include tip-paying restaurant staff. As a result, many proponents of the One Fair Wage movement, including Sarandon of Hollywood, descended upon the New York State Capitol.
