On Instagram, Parton writes, “I was very sad to hear that Treat Williams had passed away.”. I’ve always been a fan, and I most recently had the incredible chance to work with him on Christmas on the sq.. ”.
The legendary musician also expressed sympathy to Williams’ friends and family. The woman says, “In all my life, I’ve never met a kindlier, more successful, or more sweet-natured person.”. I just wanted to express my condolences and let his family know that we will always remember the wonderful work he left behind. ”.

In addition to writing all of the songs included in Christmas on the sq., Parton also acted as the angel in the movie. The main plot revolves around Regina Fuller, a wealthy woman, who decides to go back to her hometown with the intention of selling the land to a mall developer and displacing the locals. In the film, Williams plays Carl Pellam, Regina’s ex-boyfriend.
The most well-known Williams roles are those in Hair and Everwood. Barry McPherson, who had been his longtime agent, confirmed his death.
