Matt Damon was born on October 8th, 1970 in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He didn’t have actors parents like you might have thought. Instead, he was raised by a family of educators. While his father worked as a professor at Lesley University, his mother was a professor at Boston University. The youngest of four children, Matt, attended both Cambridge Alternative School and Cambridge Rindge and Latin School. He participated extensively in basketball team practice and school plays.
Ben Affleck was born on August 15, 1972 in Berkeley, California. He later relocated to Massachusetts with his mother and brother after his parents divorced when he was still a young boy. Cambridge Rindge and Latin was the institution of his choice. He participated in basketball just as frequently as Matt. But they quickly became close, and they delighted in performing in school plays together.
A joint bank account was created.
They first met when they were both eight years old, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck. They became close in a hurry. Throughout their rise to fame and still today, they have remained close. They opened a bank account in high school, which they shared after they graduated to pursue their dreams of becoming actors. It was done to ensure that they could cover their expenses while looking for acting jobs. According to Matt Damon, who was a guest on “The Bill Simmons Podcast,” as long as one of us had money, the power wouldn’t be cut off.
For a small role in a movie in 1993, Matt Doman received a small payment. With that much cash, they could focus on finding acting work without worrying about how they would pay their bills. He recalled, “I remember after doing ‘Geronimo,’ fuck, I probably had $35k in my checking account and I was like we’re good. “We have enough for a year.”.
The funds in their joint bank account were initially intended to cover travel expenses for trips to New York for castings and auditions. But as they got older, it began to shift toward other things. Matt said, “You were permitted to use the money to travel to New York. ”. You could withdraw $10, buy quarters, go to the arcade, and play video games. We were eventually given the opportunity to try and purchase beer, but it never fucking worked”.

Before they both won Oscars, when they were both having financial difficulties, Matt Damon found it strange that they shared a bank account. Damon asserts that they might have succeeded if they had it, though. They were close friends who wished to help one another. And so they did. Matt Damon said, “We were going to support each other and help each other”.
The shared bank account was no longer necessary as their reputation in the acting world grew. They ended up writing a movie together and have since both won Oscars. Ben Fleck did, however, make a significant discovery. The checkbook they used for the account, he said, is still in his possession. Affleck stated, “I still have the checkbook. ”. “I’m curious to see if it would work.”.
