In a video that he recently released, Toby Keith expresses his inability to accept an award because of his battle with stomach cancer.
This week, Toby Keith informed his followers on social media that he would be unable to travel to The SabesWings’ Second Annual Strike Out Fundraiser to accept his lifetime achievement award because of stomach cancer treatments.
At the SabesWings’ second annual Strike Out fundraiser in Paso Robles, California, Toby Keith received a Lifetime Achievement Award and accepted it virtually.
The 61-year-old singer said, “I’m happy to collect the SabesWings lifetime achievement award. I’m sorry; I’ve had a difficult year fighting cancer myself and was unable to make it to the event.
Keith continued by thanking “all the folks at SabesWings” and discussing the award in more detail.
According to him, “Bret and Kandace select individuals for this distinction based on three criteria: service to a group of people in need, making a difference in the lives of others, and the common thread of working cooperatively with other organisations having a goal and passion.”
According to MyRadioLink, Keith was alluding to the fact that this event’s hosts were former MLB all-star Bret Saberhagen and his wife, Kandace.
The SabesWings charity, which helps cancer patients in need of financial support for medical expenses, received $1,046,000 thanks to the fundraising event, which was a huge success.
Keith then went into detail about the assistance that his name-brand organisation is providing to cancer patients and survivors through SabesWings.
“My nonprofit, the Toby Keith Foundation, created the OK Kids Korral in Oklahoma City.” He said, “For children with cancer and their families who stay across the street from the Children’s Hospital, we provide lodging, food, and transportation to and from the hospital.
“We established the foundation to lessen that burden. It truly is a dream come true.
Outsider reported that throughout this difficult period, Keith’s supporters and love were shown in the comments section of his video.
“I attended three or four of your concerts and genuinely enjoyed them. I wish you a speedy recovery. You are an amazing performer! One of his followers said, “Dear Jesus, son of God, hear my prayers, please carry this man in your arms, I beg for peace and healing.” ” AMEN. TOBY, SURVIVE.
“Sending thoughts for you and others who are facing cancer,” another follower said after sharing their own cancer tale. Three years have passed since I lost my fiancé this month. God bless you everyone, I pray.
Keith said in June that he had been given a stomach cancer diagnosis and would pass away in
“Over the past six months, I underwent chemotherapy, radiation treatment, and surgery. Good news thus far, At the time, he wrote on Instagram, “I need time to breathe, recover, and rest. “I can’t wait to spend this time with my loved ones. But I’ll definitely run into the fans shortly. I find it hard to wait.
We are worried that Keith’s cancer battle will make travelling challenging for him in the future, but we are also encouraged by the outpouring of support from fans as he battles for his life. Please join us in prayer as Keith continues to battle cancer.
