A devoted husband and the father of two of the cutest girls, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is one of Hollywood’s most well-known actors. In addition, he is among the highest-paid actors in the industry. But the 49-year-old’s life wasn’t always easy, especially when he was a teenager and briefly lost his home.
The former wrestler and current actor recently talked about a trying time in his teens when his family lost their home in Hawaii because his mother couldn’t afford the rent. His mother is forced to send Johnson, who was 15 at the time, away to Nashville, Tennessee, where he thought he would be moving in with his father.
He quickly realized he wasn’t really going to live with his father when a stranger, not his father, met him at the airport when he got to Nashville. On the other hand, he came across a man named Bruno Lauer who drove him to his trailer and gave him a roof over his head when he had nowhere else to go. Johnson says that his central life turning point could have easily sent him down the wrong path, but God “always found a way to put a few people in my path that would change the trajectory of the road I was going down”.
He took in the punk kid, and according to Dwayne Johnson, they grew close over time.
Johnson received assistance from former wrestling manager Lauer not only when he was a teenager but also when he was attempting to succeed as a wrestler. Johnson claims he will never forget how Lauer helped him buy his first car by giving him a place to stay and even his last $40.
More than three decades have passed since Johnson decided to give back to the person who saved him all those years ago. He made a special effort to show his appreciation for all of the support by giving his friend “Downtown Bruno” a brand-new truck. Johnson invited Lauer to the set of “Young Rock,” the comedy television program he created that is based on his life. Then he surprised his longtime friend by giving him a special present.
“Your kindness and heart helped change the course of my life,” Lauer says in reference to his positive influence”.
Instagram Bruno, who was left speechless by the kind gesture and fighting back tears, claims that no one has ever done anything like this for him before. The Rock says he has already arranged for the tags and will have the new vehicle delivered to Lauer’s home in Walls, Mississippi. Man, I adore you. Lauer counters that you are not because of this truck Johnson gave away, but rather because of who you are. I give praise to the Lord Jesus for placing you in my life.
Since Johnson revealed the big surprise there, over 3.5 million users of Instagram have watched the heartwarming moment.
Regardless of how prosperous he becomes, he never forgets the people who helped him when he most needed it.
He is the kind of man who never stops doing good for other people. Give just a little.
