Monique Davaul, 30, of Newport News, Virginia, experienced the incredible good fortune of giving birth to three adorable children on April 12.
Monique had twins in her family of six before her fraternal triplets Jihad, Mielle, and Noelle arrived at the prestigious Riverside Regional Medical Center (RRMC).
The neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) was required to provide the newborns with specialized care after delivery. However, they made significant progress and were given the go-ahead to depart just in time for a significant holiday: Mother’s Day.
Because each infant was released from the hospital at a different time, there were numerous expectations as we progressed toward this milestone. Jihad and Mielle were able to return home earlier in the month, and Noelle finished off the trio when she arrived safely on the Friday before the well-known Mother’s Day holiday.
Monique’s journey to welcoming triplets began when she unintentionally found out she was eight weeks along while getting ready for her 30th birthday party.
When Monique was initially unaware of the multiple blessings inside her womb, an intelligent coworker made a joke about the possibility of having twins or possibly triplets, which Monique remembers with affection.
She was curious about this idea and decided to visit the doctor to learn more about her coworker’s humorous prognosis.
Monique couldn’t wait to tell her coworker the wonderful news, so as soon as she heard the shocking news, she called and yelled, “You were 100 percent correct! I’m expecting triplets.”. She needed to get in touch with the location where she had booked a room for her birthday celebration.
She was shocked to learn that she was carrying not one, not two, but three priceless lives.
Monique excitedly announced that rather than throwing a traditional party to mark the occasion of her expecting triplets, she would instead host an exciting “gender reveal” event.
Monique was already familiar with the rewards and difficulties of multiple pregnancies because she had previously had the experience of having twins.
This time, however, she discovered that she had repeatedly experienced morning sickness, a sign that could suggest she was expecting a girl or several children.
Monique thought about her experience and spoke with Good Morning America about it.
She said that when I was ill, I would have intense episodes that would make me feel like I was carrying a girl or multiple babies. They initially believed Monique’s announcement of the impending birth of triplets was a lighthearted joke when she picked up her three boys, including the twins Nasir and Sincere, who were six years old, and her eight-year-old child.
But as soon as they knew the truth, their curiosity grew and they enthusiastically barraged Monique with inquiries like, “Mommy, when will the babies come?”.
Monique thanked her twins Sincere and Nasir for their assistance, saying that they are always willing to help. Monique took a pregnancy leave from work and spent the following four months caring for her expanding family.
Up until the terrible day when her water broke, announcing that it was time for her to welcome her children into the world, regular check-ups were obediently scheduled every two weeks.
The cesarean delivery of Monique’s triplets, two girls and one boy, was a first for the RRMC. The delivery of triplets was unexpectedly the first since 2018 at the facility. The RRMC nurses released a statement in which they expressed their happiness.
