In a terrible incident that happened in Ohio, Laura Ilg, who was eight months pregnant, passed away after her two-year-old son accidentally discharged her husband Alek Ilg’s gun. The incident occurred at the family’s home, and Laura’s panicked 911 call asking for assistance served as the first indication that something was wrong.
After receiving the emergency call, Norwalk police had to go inside the Ilg residence. Both Laura and her young child were found to be in critical condition in an upstairs bedroom.

Laura succumbed to her injuries a few hours later.

The bedroom door was typically locked, and there were several baby gates installed in the house to keep the child from wandering off unattended, Laura revealed to the authorities in her final moments.
