After 4 years, the lost dog is found by the man who vowed to never give up looking for him.

Losing a dog can be among life’s worst experiences. This is what occurred when Michael Joy lost three of his dogs in 2016. Even though two of the lost dogs were found, Sam, a 4-month-old Labrador mix, was nowhere to be found. Michael put up stickers and looked in every shelter in the area, but he was completely unsuccessful. He made every effort.

Michael persisted, though. “Hey, I’m going to find this dog,” he told his wife, according to what he said. I didn’t give up and I still keep up with the shelters’ pages in case he had turned up. After a while, Michael’s family was forced to relocate to Kentucky, but he never lost faith that his cherished dog was somewhere. Sam was always expected to be in his old Georgia neighborhood, so he kept making trips there.

Anyone would cry when a man finally found his dog after five years. His dog Sam had vanished in the interim, going unnoticed for five of those years. But he received an unexpected call from City Dogs Cleveland. Michael remembered her saying, “We have Sam.”. This can’t be the same Sam, I keep telling myself. I asked, “Can you describe him for me,” and she responded, “He’s a lighter-haired dog,” prompting me to ask, “Where are you and when could I ever get him?” At the time that they discovered Michael and his family through the microchip, the Cleveland pet care facility was conducting a medical examination on his plight. Sam was dropped off by the police, who later found him; get your tissues ready for this one. The kennel staff got in touch with the record number after scanning the animal and finding a microchip.

Interestingly, Sam was just as energized as Michael might have been to the point where he could not control his tail from constantly swaying and bouncing over Michael.
