Alexander “AE” Edwards, a man 36 years younger than Cher and the songwriter of Grammy Award-winning hits like “Belief,” was the subject of Cher’s declaration of love in November 2022.
She joyfully announced her wonderful discovery, igniting a flurry of enthusiasm. The posts that followed featured the couple’s picture with the caption, “Love doesn’t know math!”. Cher continued by saying that she had already introduced Edwards to her family.
Their age difference raised some concerns, but their romance seemed to be strong enough to allay any concerns.
Sadly, after only a few months of dating, Cher and Edwards have broken up.
Numerous observers were shocked by the impromptu union and criticized the couple’s decision. Cher assured those who expressed concern that she was not naive and realized that no assurance could be given when making a decision because she had always been used to taking risks.
