An emotional farewell to Tina Turner’s supporters.

Tina Turner, a pioneer of rock ‘n’ roll who rose to fame as a pop icon in the 1980s, passed away at the age of 83 after suffering from a protracted illness.

Her health had recently gotten worse; she had a kidney transplant in 2017 and was diagnosed with intestinal cancer in 2016.

With “Simply The Best” among her 100 achievements, Tina says her final goodbyes to her fans after years in the spotlight. Her parents, Floyd and Zelma Bullock, gave birth to her on November 26, 1939, in NutBush. They worked the land as tenants.

Her spokesperson, Bernard Doherty, released the following statement on Wednesday evening: “Tina Turner, the ‘Queen of Rock’n Roll,’ passed away peacefully today at age 83 following a protracted illness in her home in Kusnacht, Switzerland, not far from Zurich. Her legacy as a musical legend and an inspiration will live on”.
