Malignant growth treatment has begun for Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell.
Kylee Madison was by her side as the 28-year-old, Mama June Shannon’s eldest child, went through her first round of chemotherapy recently. A family member claims that her hair has “come out in pieces” since then. According to the website, Anna is looking for a wig to cover up her hair loss while focusing on her health and recovery, and she has maintained her positivity in spite of the circumstances.
In January, the mother of two got a phase 4 determination of adrenal malignant growth. After a battery of tests was directed after Anna whined of stomach issues, malignant growth was tracked down in her liver, kidney, and lung.
Anna, who co-starred with her mother, 43, and sister Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson in TLC’s Toddlers and Tiaras and later Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, underwent her first round of chemotherapy last month.
The news was first reported by TMZ, which stated that Anna’s family is “extremely hopeful” that she will survive the diagnosis. Doctors wait to see how she responds to the chemotherapy before making any further decisions.
Alana discussed her sister after the diagnosis was made public on Thursday.

The 17-year-old wrote in an Instagram Story alongside a screenshot of the TMZ article that first reported the news, “Yes, I’m famous, but normal s— happens to my family and me, and you need to accept that as soon as possible.”
Kylee Madison and Kaitlyn Elizabeth, Anna’s two children, were born in 2012 and 2015, respectively.
Anna’s most recent relationship was with Eldridge Toney, her boyfriend, with whom she became an official Instagram couple in April 2019.
