Despite what some people may think, I believe that it is now necessary to acknowledge that all animals have feelings. The days of calling the animals with which humans coexist on this planet “beasts” are long gone, albeit to a greater or lesser extent depending on the species.
Animals are capable of experiencing love, fear, joy, and pain, and occasionally, images or films will be produced that truly capture how sensitive they are.
One such event, which was seen on PBS in 2000, was prompted by a story that spread quickly around the globe. The story’s two ex-circus elephants are separated by an incredible 22 years. The touching reunion moment that was caught on camera is one that you won’t want to miss.
Shirley and Jenny, two elephants, are finally reunited in the video, which was captured at the Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee, after spending more than twenty years apart. Despite the fact that it is well known that elephants have an incredible memory, the level of love and affection shown in this video is astounding.
Even the keepers are taken aback when the two elephants resume their friendship from when they were both circus performers.
Shirley and Jenny quickly close the gap created by their more than 20-year age difference after first meeting at the gates.
The video is breathtaking; watch it here.
Each and every animal on the planet has the right to a happy life.
If you agree that we don’t have the right to jail them, then publish this article.
