Melania Trump wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, “Amalija Knavs was a strong woman who always carried herself with grace, warmth, and dignity. She was entirely devoted to her husband, daughters, grandson, and son-in-law. We will miss her beyond measure and continue to honor and love her legacy.”
Amalija Knavs’ funeral was held at the Church of Bethesda-by-the-Sea in Palm Beach, Florida, on January 18. The funeral was private, and many of Trump’s family members attended.
During the private funeral, Melania Trump delivered an emotional eulogy, paying tribute to her mother’s “unparalleled affection.” She remembered her mother as “a ray of light in the darkest of days.”
“She embodied the best mother, wife, grandmother, mother-in-law – a true beacon of love and luxury in our lives,” Melania Trump said, adding that her mother’s “beauty and impeccable sense of style turned the heads of many.”
“She’s a true inspiration, a role model to me, and to so many,” the former FLOTUS said, concluding her seven-minute eulogy with, “Rest in peace, my beloved mummy.”
Analyzing a picture of Melania, Barron, and Donald Trump outside of the church, body language Judi James said the former president “seems to have adopted a pose similar to his wife Melania” and “looking much more vulnerable than usual, with his arms falling to the front of his torso and a reflective-looking frown on his face.”

“There is one moment on the steps outside the church when Trump appears to attempt to adopt a strong presidential pose, standing upright with his jaw squared and his head lifted, but otherwise, he looks like a man stricken by grief,” James said.
Moreover, Judi added that Donald held his wife Melania’s hand, which was telling.
“His tight clasp on Melania’s hand looks as though it is for practical as well as emotional support. Walking down the steps he seems to lean heavily on his wife for support so that her shoulders tilt towards him in a hint that he is placing some weight on that clasp.”

While Melania supports her husband in becoming president again, she has not been seen on the campaign trail next to him. Meanwhile, First Lady Jill Biden has been by her husband, President Joe Biden, and taken on an important role before the election.

Therefore, during a recent town hall meeting, Fox News Host Laura Ingraham asked Donald Trump if Melania would join him at his rallies.“It’s a question I’m asked a lot, that Jill Biden is everywhere,” Ingraham said. “She’s campaigning everywhere for Joe Biden and she did in 2020.”
She continued, “Will we see more of your secret weapon, for those of us who know your wife, Melania? Will we see more of her this time around, given her ability to speak so many languages… [she’s] so wonderful with children and everyone? I think a lot of people here want to see more of her.”
Donald Trump didn’t take long to answer, which was somewhat expected. Right now, her dedication lies with their son, Barron.“They love her, I’ll tell you,” Trump responded. “And you know her. She’s a very brilliant person. She speaks many languages, the whole thing.”

“[The people] love the fact that she’s not out there so much. You know, a lot of first ladies will go out. They want to be everywhere. They get angry at their husband because he’s not introducing them. If I didn’t introduce Melania she’d be very happy about it. She’s just a different kind of a person. And she loves the country.”
Donald Trump concluded, “She’s gonna be out quite a bit, and she loves his country, and she wants a great, and she says hello.”
