Eddie Murphy Ordered to Pay Mel B $61,000 Monthly in Child Support

Former Spice Girl Melanie Brown asked the court to increase her child support as her income fell in 2020.

As a result, Eddie Murphy was forced to pay more than $61,000 a month to Brown, who had a 15-year-old daughter, Angel Iris Murphy Brown. The famous couple had a daughter 13 years ago.

Melanie Brown’s income has dropped to the point where she had to file a lawsuit against her ex-husband, Eddie Murphy, seeking increased child support. According to court documents, his lawyer said he had recently been able to provide a good life for his daughter Angel, but now he needs more money.

The original figure of $44,000 per month had to be modified. Eddie Murphy, known for earning a lot of money, has agreed to pay more for his daughter Angel’s living expenses from October until she turns 18.

The settlement was finalized in August and funding for the legal bills of Angel’s mother, Melanie Brown, was also approved. Until recently, Eddie had not been involved in Angel’s life. When Brown became pregnant in 2006, Eddie renounced paternity.

However, a paternity test soon confirmed his story and revealed that he was the father. Eddie Murphy and Melanie Brown had a brief romance just a year after his split from Nicole Mitchell.

In her 2018 autobiography, Brown detailed the couple’s divorce, which led to the birth of their daughter, Angel. According to Brown, Murphy was the love of her life, but she abruptly ended their relationship after she left him for a few days to discuss buying a house together.

Even though their breakup broke her heart, Brown still considers her one of her greatest loves. Brown took a break from her relationship with Murphy during her pregnancy and returned to her hometown of Leeds to be with her mother Andrea.

While on tour, it emerged that Murphy had publicly denied that he was the father of her unborn child. Brown was confused and scared, and Eddie’s nonchalant response to his request for a break only made it worse.

Despite his previous failures, he was determined to mend his relationships after returning to Los Angeles. Murphy said he was surprised Brown ended his story so abruptly. She had a close relationship with Eddie and was heartbroken by his death.

Murphy and her mother, Lillian, are now an integral part of Angel’s life. Ironically, Lillian now loves him and Angel splits her weekends between seeing Eddie and spending time with him.

Brown is very happy to see Angel hanging out with someone who looks a lot like Eddie. In addition, she has been facing financial difficulties since her divorce from Stephen Belafonte in 2017. The book’s author, Liz Brown, had some incredible financial adventures as an adult.

He has raised more than £80 million ($158 million) over the past 20 years. When she married Stephen, she had a house and apartment in Los Angeles and a successful career.

After their relationship ended, she had just $US936 ($1,667) left in her bank account.
