Fans of Celine Dion were alarmed when the legendary singer revealed last year that she had been diagnosed with a rare neurological condition that would prevent her from performing.
Fans are raving about Dion’s first music since learning of her diagnosis today, despite the fact that they won’t be able to see her perform live anytime soon.
An official lyric video for Dion’s brand-new song, “Love Again,” the soundtrack to the same-named movie, which debuts on May 15, is available.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Celine Dion will star in the film Love Again alongside Sam Heughan, Priyanka Chopra Jones, and other actors.
The soundtrack for the film, which will be released on May 12, includes five of Dion’s most recent songs in addition to “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now,” one of her all-time greatest songs”.
Fans will undoubtedly be delighted to hear all of the songs Celine Dion has composed for this new film, as many of her biggest hits, including “Beauty and the Beast,” “Because You Loved Me” (from Up Close and Personal), and “My Heart Will Go On” (from Titanic), have been featured on soundtracks.
This new single has caught the attention of fans as it is the first piece of music she has released in the English language since her 2019 album Courage and the first since disclosing a serious medical diagnosis last year.
Dion disclosed she had stiff-person syndrome, a condition that affects one person in a million, in a moving video she shared with her Instagram followers. This condition of the aging nervous system affects the brain and spinal cord and can result in severe spasms and movement limitations. The disease is incurable, but the symptoms can be managed.
I’ve always been a transparent person, and while I wasn’t ready to say anything before, I am now, Dion said.
Dion’s problems with muscle spasms, which required her to postpone dates on her North American tour in January, were already known to her fans, but this is the first time she has opened up about the underlying illness.
While we’re still learning about this unusual condition, the singer claimed that we now know it’s what’s been causing all of her spasms. “Unfortunately, these spasms interfere with every aspect of my daily life, making it difficult for me to walk and preventing me from using my vocal cords to sing as I once did”.
Dion expressed hope that, even though the news devastated her and many of her fans around the world, with time and continued treatments, she might recover her voice and start performing again.
“With the assistance of my sports medicine therapist, I work very hard to become stronger and perform better every day. It’s been difficult, though, I must admit,” Dion said. “My precious children are encouraging me and giving me hope, and I have a wonderful team of doctors working with me to help me get better,” the patient said.
“Seeing you all and performing on stage for you. I always give it my all when I perform, but right now I can’t because of my health. ”.
While her sister Claudette has provided Dion with regular health updates and expressed confidence in her since the announcement, Dion has kept a low profile.
For the Montreal newspaper Le Journal de Montréal, Claudette described her as “a brilliant woman, so very generous and talented, and in love with life.”. “I am confident that life will give her back what she gave. ”. I try to send her good vibes, hoping that one day she will return to the stage rather than cry over her fate”.
“I firmly believe that love has healing properties. I wish her nothing but the best of luck. Experts surround her as she recovers”.
Celine Dion’s albums have sold more than 200 million copies worldwide. Popular singles include the “Titanic” anthem, “My Heart Will Go On,” “The Power of Love,” “Because You Loved Me,” and “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now.”. Her Let’s Talk About Love and Falling Into You albums are among the best-selling albums of all time and have each surpassed the million-copy mark.
Her five Grammys include victories for Album of the Year and Record of the Year. Her previous residency in Las Vegas was the most lucrative in music history.
We are happy for Celine Dion because she has a unique talent. Even though she can no longer perform live, we are pleased that she is still creating new music!
