Garth Brooks is open about some of the adjustments he has made as a parent and a husband over time. The 61-year-old country music legend acknowledged that he wasn’t the best parent or husband early in his career but has since worked to make up for it in a recent interview with Billboard.
Sandy Mahl, a songwriter, and Brooks were married for the first time in May 1986 after dating for 13 years. After their separation in March 1999, they eventually got a divorce in December 2001, but not before welcoming three children into the world: Taylor, 30, August, 29, and Allie, 26.

The business, which will be called the “Friends in Low Places Bar and Honky Tonk,” will be located at 411 Broadway, in the famous Lower Broadway neighborhood.
