Heartbreaking Updates on Kevin Costner: Prepare for More Sad News…

Divorce is never easy, but it is significantly more difficult when there are kids involved and the celebrity spouse is in the public eye. We are talking about Kevin Costner’s divorce from Christine Baumgartner, his second wife.

At the end of an 18-year marriage, Baumgartner filed for divorce on May 1, 2023. She informed Costner of her desire for a divorce a month prior, and they had initially planned to inform their three children jointly. Costner finally told his children about the divorce via video conference.

The main issues in the divorce case between the soon-to-be ex-spouses right now are the children, their living expenses, and child support. Baumgartner is asking for child support payments of $248,000 per month. Costner, on the other hand, is of the opinion that Baumgartner stands to gain more from the child support request than the kids do.

Costner’s legal team is of the opinion that Baumgartner’s requests for expenses—such as a personal trainer and plastic surgery—are not for the children, but rather are made for Baumgartner. According to Costner’s lawyer Laura Wasser, Baumgartner spent $188,500 every month on plastic surgery in 2022.
Wasser criticized Baumgartner’s evaluation as being “fundamentally dishonest.
”.

Child support is meant to guarantee that the couple’s children continue to live the lifestyle they have grown accustomed to after the divorce. It goes without saying that living in a multi-million dollar mansion would be expensive, but how much is actually reasonable?

Wasser claims that Costner is prepared to pay the suggested child support amount of $123,620. In addition, their prenuptial agreement requires him to give Baumgartner $1 point 4 million after the divorce is finalized.

Until she vacates, he is also responsible for paying her mortgage, insurance, and taxes. Additionally, he is granting her free use of one week per year at his Aspen home with their kids. Additionally, he would let her go to the golf clubs where they play and would pay for all of her expenses while she was there.

Baumgartner, meanwhile, won’t leave Costner’s beachfront mansion in Carpinteria, California. If Costner agrees to pay her demands for child support, she declares she’ll leave. After filing for divorce, she was required by their prenuptial agreement to vacate Costner’s home within 30 days.

Baumgartner and Costner have only interacted once since announcing their divorce. To honor their son Cayden’s birthday, they did that. During their brief time together in the same home, they got along well. After taking a short break to celebrate his son’s birthday, Costner has returned to the Utah location where he has been filming “Horizon.”.
