Jase and Missy Robertson, stars of Duck Dynasty, hope that their daughter Mia’s upcoming 14th surgery will be her final one. The adolescent, who sought treatment earlier in July, is now recovering at home and leading a normal life.
After thirteen surgeries, Mia’s cleft lip and palate, which she was born with, has been corrected. Mia established the Mia Moo Fund in an effort to make sure that every child has the opportunity to smile at least once in their lives. The rest of the family has been open about the difficult journey they had to take to get here.
People frequently ask me how many surgeries Mia still needs, and I always answer, “We just don’t know. ’”.
On her Instagram page, Mia shared a happier message with the words, “Despite the challenges of the journey, we have finally arrived at our destination. I’m hoping that this will be my final office visit with my doctors. ”.
In the spring of 2021, Mia was scheduled to undergo her thirteenth procedure. Her mother claims that significant strides have been made in the right direction.
Now that she is 18 years old, she is responsible for handling all conversations and completing medical paperwork. The best way to describe it has been odd, says Missy in her writing. She continued, “However, this is just another lesson: I must rely on the Lord and not myself.
Jase Robertson, the Unashamed podcast’s host, recently discussed his entire family in addition to his daughter Mia. Jase Robertson is the podcast’s current host. On July 9, he announced that she had fully recovered. After a slightly longer than expected surgery, she is now recuperating at home. Please keep her and our family in your prayers. She is exceptional in every way.
Missy Robertson also updated her Instagram followers about another aspect of her family life—the birth of her new child. When the baby’s biological mother was found to be unfit to care for the child, she and her husband agreed to assume legal guardianship of the child in March. She had anticipated that the guardianship would be ongoing for some time. On June 25th, they were still caring for her.
