Walter Carr, a young man from Birmingham, Alabama, recently garnered positive attention.
Walter recently agreed to work for Pelham-based Bellhop’s Moving. On his first trip to his new job, the young man, however, had a terrible experience. He had to travel 20 miles on foot to Bellhops because his car had broken down the previous evening.
He decided to walk the entire 20 miles in order to get to Bellhops in time for his first day of work. Walter was getting quite exhausted. He decided to unwind and sat down.
When the neighborhood police arrived, they inquired as to why the child was sitting next to the road. When he told the police about the incident, they were shocked and quite impressed by his determination to get to work on time.
Luke Markland, CEO of Bellhop’s Moving, was waiting to welcome Walter when he arrived at his destination. Luke believed Walter would take better care of his car than he would, so he gave Walter his car as a gift.
Luke was pleasantly surprised by Walter’s dedication to starting his new job on time. He was also grateful that Walter stood his ground, didn’t back down, and showed them what true values were.
Walter takes pleasure in what he does, and over time, he developed some notoriety. Even Bellhop’s clients, who Bellhop helped transfer to a new site, were pleased with Walter’s assistance.
