Princess Kate disappoints royal fans with latest update

Prince William and Princess Kate’s new era of royal work is going smoothly. Since the Queen passed away, the Prince and Princess of Wales have taken on more responsibilities, including some trips abroad. Last year, William and Kate visited Boston, Massachusetts, for the Earthshot Prize, and soon, the Earthshot Awards will take place in Singapore.

Many royal fans believed that, just like in Boston, William would travel with Kate, and some also thought it would be a chance to see Prince George there.

However, now, some sad news has come to light.

Although the two parents visit many places around the United Kingdom, it’s reported that they always come home to their children at night.

However, in December last year, William and Kate were away from their children on a trip to the US.

William & Kate’s US visit

The much-anticipated engagement had been in the works for several months. Royal fans may know that William founded the Earthshot Prize in 2020, which then became an independent charity. William serves as its president.

The prince was supposed to attend the September Earthshot Prize Innovation Summit in New York. Sadly, he had to cancel because of the Queen’s sudden passing.

“Protecting the environment was a cause close to my grandmother’s heart. And I know she would have been delighted to hear about this event and the support you’re all giving our Earthshot finalists, the next generation of environmental pioneers,” William said in a recorded message in September.

When William and Kate arrived in Boston, it was their first time on US soil since 2014.

But even before they’d even touched down at the airport, the couple seemed to have found a special place in many people’s hearts. When traveling “across the pond” to the US, William and Kate didn’t use a private jet – instead, they flew over on a commercial flight.

As reported by CBS, it didn’t take long before passengers came to learn that the royals were on the flight. The flight crew described the couple as “utterly delightful,” with passengers praising them for not flying privately.

“As soon as people saw them get on you could tell there was a buzz on the airplane,” passenger Jonathan Wood said. “It was a wild experience, but it was great.”

Attended the Earthshot Prize Innovation Summit

“Surprising … you assume they’d have a private jet,” passenger Jo Atkins told CBS. “[William is] a lot slimmer… can I say that? He’s very slight. She’s beautiful, obviously, as one would expect. I didn’t expect that getting on the plane.”

“Well look, they’re coming for Earthshot. It’s an environmental thing, right, so being on a commercial flight makes sense,” another passenger, Luke Howard, said.

During the seven-hour flight, William and Kate remained low-key. They did, however, chat with some of their fellow First Class passengers about what they were doing in Boston.

After landing, passengers had to wait on the plane while William and Kate left. At Boston Logan International Airport, they were greeted by Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker and Lt. Gov. Karyn Polito.

Upon landing, William thanked the locals “for their many tributes paid to the late queen,” adding that Queen Elizabeth recalled her 1976 visit to Boston “with great fondness.”

William and Kate attended the Earthshot Prize Innovation Summit while in Boston and visited several other places, including North America’s largest clean-tech incubator, Greentown Labs.

At that time, it was reported that Kate was very anxious and stressed. According to Judy James, that still seems to be the case.

Who’s taking care of George, Charlotte and Louis while William and Kate are away?

On the one hand, the body language expert added that Kate was “immaculate” during their visit to the US but that she’s showing signs of being under a lot of pressure.

“Kate’s smile has been as immaculate as usual in Boston but here she sucks her lips in,” she said.

“This is another sensory trick. Lips have the densest concentration of nerve endings of any part of the body, and pressing and sucking them in like this can be a self-comfort ritual under pressure.”

During their parents’ US trip, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis have been cared for by Kate’s parents and their longtime nanny, Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo.

Borrallo has been with the Prince and Princess of Wales since 2014; she began caring for George when he was only eight months old.

“She is not married and doesn’t have a boyfriend, as her life is totally dedicated to the family she is working with. She is known for being totally professional – married to the job,” an insider told Hello Magazine.

Even though their beloved children can’t join them on every trip, William and Kate try to involve them in their own special way.

“They are always asking us where we are going. “And we show them where we are on the map,” William said during their 2022 March trip to the Caribbean.

“We let them know where we are, and [George] finds us on the map and puts a pin in it and shares with the others.”

Royal fans sad over latest Kate update

In just a short while, it is time for royal fans abroad to greet them once again. William will travel solo to the Earthshot Prize finalist’s celebration in New York this week. However, for the Earthshot Awards in Singapore later this year, it was believed that Kate – and maybe even George – would accompany William. Sadly, neither Kate nor George will travel to Singapore, according to The Telegraph.

It’s an understatement to say royal fans were left disappointed. As reported by Hello! Magazine, many took to social media when the update was provided.

“So sad. We wanna see Princess Catherine,” one royal fan wrote on social media.

Another commented: “Noooooo,” and a third simply posted a crying emoji.

Moreover, as Hello reported, others hoped the news would not be true.

“Hopefully, this is not true. From what we have seen so far, it is basically confirmed (not officially by the palace) that Catherine will be there,” one person wrote.

Another stated: “I don’t believe this for one second:”

Some fans discussed that the news has not been confirmed and that their hopes of seeing Kate are still very much on. Time will tell if Kate will join her husband in Singapore, but as mentioned, she won’t be in New York with William later this week.

Even though they are thousands of miles apart, the New York trip puts William and Harry in the same country. Of course, rumors about whether they might be meeting up began spreading immediately as it was confirmed that Wiliam was making the trip.

William ‘bans’ mention of Harry’s name

But according to new reports, that won’t happen at all. In fact, not only does William not want to speak to his brother – but he does not even want to hear his name.

During the New York stay, William spends two days in the “Big Apple’s” climate week. As per the Express, the Prince of Wales is meeting with UN secretary-general António Guterres, with delegations from Ecuador and Vanuatu, wading into the Hudson River in aid of a new water project and, of course, unveiling the 15 Earthshot finalists.

“This trip is part of his evolution as a global statesman which is incredibly important, especially since becoming Prince of Wales. He and his courtiers have been thinking about how to manage that transition from Duke of Cambridge to the next King,” a royal aide told The Times.

“The US is very important to him. The world’s climate movers and shakers will be in New York having conversations about the future of the planet and the prince is keen to be part of those conversations and put Earthshot front and centre,” the aide continued. “He has huge ambitions for what the prize can become and is extremely focused on its legacy and impact.”

All major American TV networks have reportedly requested an interview with Prince William. However, he has allegedly banned any mention of his younger brother.

Harry was in the UK just last week. However, he didn’t meet any of his family members.

“To me, it seems absolutely bonkers that you would come over from California and not see your brother and father for even the briefest of meetings,” royal correspondent Jennie Bond told OK!.

“But it seems that they, and we, have now got used to the idea that Harry will come and go to the UK without troubling to have any family meetings.”
