With his art, he enhanced his quality of life. More than music and the arts, he loved his friends. He will always be remembered for his creativity, foresight, and ability to bring beauty to the world. Good day, Rick. I’ll miss you forever and ever. ”.
Pitchfork, a post-hardcore band, was founded by Froberg and Reis in the late 1980s. After that, they formed the emo rock group Drive Like Jehu, and Interscope Records released Yank Crime, their major label debut, in 1994.
Reis briefly put Drive Like Jehu on hold in the middle of the 1990s so he could concentrate on his other band, Rocket from the Crypt. By the end of the decade, Reis had founded his own record label, Swami Records, and had reconnected with Froberg to form the post-hardcore band Hot Snakes.
Between 2000 and 2004, Hot Snakes issued three albums, including Suicide Violence and Audit in Progress. The group reunited in 2018 to record their fourth album, Jericho Sirens, after taking a break.
Obits was created in 2006 by Froberg. Between 2009 and 2013, they put out three albums.
The song “Drive Like Jehu” was revived by Froberg and Reis in 2014 for a series of live performances, one of which took place at Coachella in 2015.
Froberg, a talented visual artist, created artwork for his bands Rocket from the Crypt and Swami Records as well.
