Ben Tozer, the captain, received a romantic message from the Wrexham co-owner.
Ryan Reynolds sent Ben Tozer, the captain of Wrexham, a message of sympathy after learning of his heartbreaking family tragedy this week.
After the soccer player revealed the tragic news of his father’s sudden death two days after he was diagnosed with leukemia, the co-owner of Wrexham AFC paid his respects on social media.
According to Ben, Keith received a diagnosis on Saturday and underwent a successful brain operation on Sunday. But on Monday, at the age of 59, he passed away suddenly.
The 33-year-old wrote in a tweet with the hashtag “Don’t leave it too late!” that “On Saturday, I was told my Dad has Leukaemia, but it’s treatable.”.
He said, “Last night, the unthinkable happened. He needed a brain operation on Sunday night, which went well. He waited too long, which is regrettably why all of this happened. Unaware of it, he was hiding the fact that he was in excruciating pain. “.
Ben continued, “We used to always say, ‘Go and get checked. Simply put, he was terrified of what it might be. I appreciate it a lot, Dad. Our parting words will stay with me for the rest of my life. I adore you.”. I hope we all did you proud. “.
Ryan, who co-owns Wrexham Football Club with actor Rob McElhenney, tweeted Ben’s statement along with the following sentiment: “So sorry to hear this. Our thoughts are with you and your family. “.
Ryan wrote, “Gut-wrenching,” in response to Ben’s devastating news. I send the Tozer family my sincere condolences. “.

Ryan has had other close-to-home heartbreak in the past. He bemoaned the passing of Jay Fear, a supporter of Wrexham who passed away from appendix cancer four months after being diagnosed, earlier this year. He was 45.
Ryan shared photos of himself, Jay, and his family on Instagram Stories along with a message of sympathy on behalf of himself and his wife, Blake Lively.
“May Jay Fear rest in peace. One of the bravest, kindest, and most generous people I’ve ever met, Ryan captioned a photo of himself with his arm around Jay. “Deb, Sam, and Jess, I appreciate you giving me access to your father. “.
The charity Bucket List Wishes set up a meeting between Ryan and Jay in April before Wrexham’s victory over Boreham Wood, which resulted in the team’s first promotion to the Football League in 15 years.
After meeting Jay, Ryan acknowledged feeling “choked up,” saying, “It was incredible to meet Jay. If our roles were reversed, I wonder if I would think the same way. He is a stunning individual, and his family is even better. While talking to him, I started to cry a little because I realized how much he will be missed by his wife and children. “.
Jay was ecstatic to see his “idol” and received a glove from Deadpool as a gift. Sadly, Jay passed away before he could fulfill Ryan’s other plans for him, which included going to the third movie’s set while it was being filmed.
