Having their second child is Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian, who got married in 2017. Five-year-old Olympia, who will turn six in a few months, is already a proud parent.
The ace tennis player sped to Instagram to announce the good news and upload several pictures of the couple. In one photo, the 41-year-old was seen holding her growing baby bump, and in another, she and her partner were both grinning broadly for the camera.
The post stated, “I was so happy when Anna Wintour invited the three of us to the Met Gala.
Williams had no plans to have kids when she first started her career. Because she was confused and uneasy around kids, she believed that if she ever became a mother, she would hire a full-time caregiver.
The tennis champion, however, disclosed in an article that she wished to pursue motherhood and undergo a “transformation” away from tennis.
She voiced her worries about bringing up kids in a dangerous world, but in the end she decided that it was something she wanted to do. Thus, the news of Williams’ pregnancy was received with joy and excitement.
Serena Williams has always been a devoted, involved parent to her five-year-old daughter Olympia and has been a hands-on mom since Olympia was born.
Olympia, a four-time gold medalist at the Olympics, remembers picking up her daughter from school and how happy she was to see her again. This happened during the time she was recovering from her hamstring injury. Williams says that for Olympia, no cost is too great.
Williams’ first delivery was sadly more complicated than it should have been because she needed an emergency cesarean section and had to have her incision redrew as a result of a coughing fit. Her body was filled with numerous, potentially fatal blood clots, alerting the medical staff to this.
After giving birth, Williams recalled feeling helpless for the first six weeks as she adapted to motherhood; despite always pushing her body to the limit, she was unable to do so in this situation.
The athlete talked about how having a partner and a daughter, in addition to her professional accomplishments, had given her a great deal of fulfillment and contentment in January 2021.
She discussed how it had aided in her shifting her focus away from primarily work-related efforts and increased her appreciation for other aspects of life.
Regardless of what occurs, life will occasionally be difficult. This realization has given her a new perspective and made her aware that, despite the fact that success is not always possible, it is still attainable with tenacity.
She clarified that, rather than the total number of victories, what truly distinguishes a champion is their capacity to persevere in the face of adversity. It’s more important to overcome every challenge than to never fall.
No matter how many times I failed, she advised me to keep trying because failing isn’t a defeat unless you completely give up.
