Simon Cowell talks about the traumatic experiences that altered his life.

Simon Cowell has experienced some health issues, particularly following the two years following the two separate bike accidents in which he was hurt.

He discussed how those incidents affected his life on the most recent episode of The Today Show with hosts Terry Crews, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, and the other America’s Got Talent judges.

After falling off his bike while riding an e-bike in Malibu in 2020, the 63-year-old TV personality met a similar demise in London at the beginning of 2022.

He was questioned about how the events altered his perspective on life in order to promote the upcoming 18th season of the competition show.

Due to my extreme ineptitude prior to the accident, it wasn’t great; it was just terrible. Once I had to do all the follow-up work, I realized how unfit I really was”.

Simon continued, “Things like that happen for a reason,” despite his insistence that he wouldn’t give up his bike anytime soon.

And I say, “My God!”.

I’m still going to stay on my bike, I’m obsessed with these things, he retorted, much to the delight of his fellow actors”.

The subsequent collision was less severe, but it still resulted in a fractured back, and Simon was taken to the hospital right away with a broken arm and a possible concussion. For several weeks, he was also seen wearing a wrist brace.

Thanks to his fiancee Lauren Silverman, Simon was inspired by the situation to live a more healthy lifestyle in general, especially for the benefit of his son Eric, who is nine years old.

In an interview with The Sun in April of last year, he discussed the effects of his e-bike injuries and said: “When I fractured my back, I considered therapy for the first time because I was very, very, very, low. ”.

“I experienced a lot of depression because I struggled to tell Eric how I felt. I had very little control over him. I wasn’t sure when I’d be able to play football with him or walk with him. ”.

The actor disclosed that his son had come up with a fantastic nickname for him after his bike accident the previous summer. On February 14th of 2014, Eric was born to Simon and Lauren.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the Britain’s Got Talent judge admitted that he felt “embarrassed” after the incident and went home”.

In his back are now metal rods and screws as a result of the procedure. According to Simon, the man said to his father, “Dad, you look like Iron Man,” when he arrived at his family. “Yeah, I’m like Iron Man,” I retorted. ”.

Since then, Simon has gained the ability to mock his mishaps as well, remembering his first, more significant mishap in June 2021 while competing on American Idol.

After watching a father-son team perform a dangerous Shaolin Kung Fu act, Terry asked Simon in a family-friendly audition show if he ever imagined himself doing that with Eric.

Simon jokingly remarked, “I kind of got to the point after I fractured my back where I’m going around the garden with him, and I think it’s a huge deal. Then as I go on, I think, “Maybe not so great!”.
