According to a recent article, Jack Nicholson’s friends are worried about his increasing loneliness.
According to an unnamed insider who lives close to the 85-year-old performer, he is sequestered at his luxurious Mulholland Drive home in Los Angeles because “he would rather not face reality any longer”.
The A-lister and his 30-year-old son Ray watched a Los Angeles Lakers game more than a year ago, in October 2021.
After the notorious womanizer’s final Lakers game in January 2020, amid rumors about his ongoing illness, he returned more than a year later.
The source claimed in an interview with RadarOnline that those close to the actor, who has six children from five different women and has only been married once, are concerned that he will turn into a recluse like his famous friend Marlon Brando.
The insider said of the 30-year-old son of celebrity and actress Rebecca Broussard, “Jack’s in touch with certain relatives – especially Ray, his protégé, who he’s so proud of, but his socializing days are long gone.”.
The actor’s youngest child, Ray, was observed sitting next to his father during the actor’s two previous Lakers games.
The sources compared the former legendary lothario’s seclusion to Brando’s tragic final years as a leading man, when he put on weight after relocating to Tahiti decades before his passing in 2004 at the age of 80.
According to the source, Jack’s friends are likening him to Brando because he passed away almost by himself after such a colorful life.
The insider went on to say, “His children will visit, but they’re his only contact with the outside world. He appears to have given up on reality, which is abhorrent.
When Brando and Nicholson shared a house on Mulholland Drive with Warren Beatty in the 1970s, they developed a reputation as ferocious womanizers and troublemakers.
Following their widely reported exploits, the street was given the moniker “Bad Boy Drive.” According to reports, Nicholson held an open house at the home he is said to have bought with money from the drug-fueled movie Easy Rider.
Insiders told Express in 2009 that Nicholson celebrated his new home in an unusual way by spending three months “walking around completely naked from dawn until sunset whether he had visitors or not”.
According to insiders’ accounts, Nicholson’s treatment of guests while residing in the same home could not have changed more radically.
Sources claim that things are getting worse due to fears that the actor’s health is declining. According to close friends who told Radar they thought the actor might have dementia, the actor’s son Ray and older sister Lorraine have been “looking after him.”.
In September 2021, a friend of the three-time Academy Award winner said, “I think his son and daughter are looking after him now.”. I’ve known Jack for a very long time, but he no longer leaves his house.
Physically, he is fine, but mentally, he is lost, according to the acquaintance, who also claimed that because Mulholland Drive is a fairly close-knit community, everyone is concerned for him”.
‘It’s unfortunate to see such a super-talented actor go out this way,’ a source said.
The actor has lived in his impressive estate, measuring 3,303 square feet, for many years. It has four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a pool, and a swimming pool. Since the 1970s, Nicholson has used the house as the setting for a number of his highly publicized projects.
Celebrities and models like Michelle Phillips, Bebe Buell, Lara Flynn Boyle, Anjelica Huston, and Rebecca Broussard are among Nicholson’s favorite people.
From 1962 to 1968, he was married to Sandra Knight for six years. She characterized their union as “very beautiful and sweet”.
He, however, frequently cheated on actress Angelica Huston from the Addams Family and their relationship was much more tumultuous.
When he announced his pregnancy to Broussard over dinner in 1989, after 16 years, everything came to an end.
When Nicholson was interviewed for Closer, he admitted that he made a mistake and that he was “emotionally annihilated” and that he was “childish”.
The magazine alleges that Nicholson sleeps until one o’clock in the afternoon, plays golf, consumes milk to soothe his stomach, and goes to the house next door where he keeps his art collection.
He primarily purchased the adjacent Marlon Brando home on Mulholland Drive in Los Angeles so he wouldn’t have to deal with neighbors.
His family had reportedly been pressuring him to sell the properties so he could downsize and relocate to a “more reasonable spot in Beverly Slopes”.
Despite having been to many basketball games together, Jack and Ray have a long history of watching the Los Angeles Lakers. However, the actor’s absence from his customary courtside role over the past 12 months has been glaring.
Jack has long been a fan of the Los Angeles Lakers basketball team, in spite of their recent losing seasons.
In 2013, following the Los Angeles Lakers’ defeat by the Oklahoma City Thunder, he and Adam Sandler made headlines by leaving the team.
Since the release of How Do You Know in 2010, Jack has taken up painting as a hobby and adopted a more laid-back way of life.
