The liver problems led to the actor from Soul Man’s demise.
The Soul Man and Everwood star John Beasley tragically passed away at the age of 79. He was a well-known actor.
John was admitted to the hospital in Omaha, Nebraska, where he was born, because of liver problems, it was revealed on Tuesday.
Unexpectedly, his health had deteriorated. His son Mike Beasley posted a touching photo along with the sad news of his father’s passing on Facebook.
Mike paid his father a moving homage. It still isn’t any easier, he wrote, “even though you are aware that this is a reality”.
Today, my closest pal passed away. They advise against ever meeting your heroes because they frequently fall short of your expectations. Such a mistake. My father was the hero I looked up to.
Everything is cherished.
“My love for you will never end”.
John’s passion for acting was sparked by his early involvement in theater. His first job was very different, according to IMDb; he spent seven years working as a train clerk for the Union Pacific railroad. Despite this, he admitted that he did tenaciously hold onto the hope that his aspirations would come true.
He continued by saying, “I knew those things would come, even when I was in college,” and that he didn’t think a college education was necessary to accomplish his goals.
With the 1989 movie Rapid Fire as his first acting credit, John’s acting career officially got underway. His acting career, however, was actually launched by a recurring part in the Oprah Winfrey-hosted sitcom Brewster Place.
A few of the well-known films that showcased John’s talent include The General’s Daughter (1998), Crazy in Alabama (1997), and The Mighty Ducks (released in 1992).
In the critically acclaimed television series Everwood (2002–2006), John is best known for his performance as Edna Harper’s husband, Irv Harper.
Following the success of Everwood, John collaborated with Cedric the Entertainer to enchant viewers in the 2012 television film The Soul Man, in which he portrayed Barton Ballentine, the father of Cedric’s character.
John continued to work in the theater well into his later years. He participated in The Notebook’s musical adaptation in October at the Chicago Shakespeare Theater.
John never stopped appreciating his work. He previously told American Theatre that being a professional artist is the highest calling and that he values wherever it takes him. Even if I never made it to Broadway, I still think my career has been somewhat successful”.
