Jimmy Carter, the 39th President of the United States, decided against further medical treatment in favor of spending time with his loved ones at home while receiving hospice care.

After the former President’s brief hospital stays, The Carter Center released a statement. Jason Carter, one of the former President’s 22 grandchildren, has been providing information about his grandpa to Americans.

The young Carter stated during a press conference that his grandfather’s health was “as good as it can be”.

The former First Lady Rosalynn Carter and her grandson, Jason, were “just meeting with family right now, but they’re doing it in the best possible way: the two of them together at home.”. Rosalynn has worked with President Carter for more than seven decades.

The couple will mark their 77th wedding anniversary in July.

They are conscious of the fact that they are not in charge. Their faith is currently what really grounds them. In that sense, Jason Carter continued, it’s perfect. He asserted that his grandfather was aware of all the love that had been sent his way over the previous few months, despite his health issues.

But his contribution goes beyond his time. His grandson claims that peanut butter ice cream is one of his favorite flavors. The flavor choice is appropriate for the president, who took over the family-owned peanut plantation from his father in the early 1950s.
