Before landing a part in the Reuben, Reuben movie, which was nominated for an Academy Award, Kelly McGillis worked as a server in the beginning of her career.
As a result, she was hired for additional television roles and was given a significant part in the film Top Gun. Producers saw her potential after this movie’s success and chose to cast her in additional films.
