Melinda Rose “Linda” Woodward and Sir Tom Jones got to know one another when they were still fairly young.
They went on an incredible journey together and forever fell in love.
This journey had to end, just like every other journey.

Sir Tom Jones and Melinda Rose “Linda” Woodward were just seven months apart in age. Even though they had been friends since they were 12 years old, Linda wasn’t asked out by the famous singer until they were 15 years old.
Tom would plan his visits to the shop to coincide with hers in the hopes of running into her because he was so smitten with her. Linda had a number of suitors.
In a later chapter of his book “Over the Top and Back: The Remarkable Autobiography from a National Treasure,” Tom said that it was fortunate for him to have been alive at the right time”.
He also beat out all of his rivals because Linda liked him as well. He did, however, mention one foe who posed a significant threat.
She seems to be as interested in me as I am in her, so things between us go fairly smoothly and without too much stress or heartache, he continued.
Even before their friendship developed into a more serious relationship, Tom was smitten with Linda. Tom, bedridden with tuberculosis, felt pain when he couldn’t see Linda. She requested that Tom accede to her wish. Tom eventually made this dream come true by moving back to the UK after selling their $7,012,000 home.
Linda died on April 10, 2016 at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Her fight with cancer was brief but fierce.
Jones was devastated by her passing and left feeling lost after she had left. He claimed that she and I were indivisible. Once she passed away, a piece of me also did. I’ve been trying to fight back and reclaim my sense of wholeness for a while now.
He claimed that although he would hear or see her while he was asleep, when he woke up, she wouldn’t be there.
After Linda Presley passed away, Tom maintained ties with Elvis Presley’s ex-wife, Priscilla Presley. Tom declared he was not interested in dating and that he could never get married again. He clarified the situation by stating that they were just friends who occasionally went out to eat.
Hector Jones acknowledges that it was challenging to pick up his music again after Linda passed away, but his son and daughter-in-law were supportive. According to rumors, they told Tom, “Look, if you do not sing again, you will die; you will just shrivel up and die. ”. Would you be interested in completing that task?
Tom had been back on the road for four weeks when Linda passed away. He claimed that performing was easier because he could picture Linda with him.
Even now, he finds it difficult to sing the songs that his late wife liked. However, the musician claims that he finds comfort in his music and that he is sure that his wife would want him to continue writing songs. According to him, “music saves my life”.
To fulfill her final request, he also relocated back to London. Tom made the choice because Linda was unable to because of her cancer.
He said he didn’t feel at ease living with Linda in their shared house and that’s why he’d planned the move. We called Los Angeles home. I could no longer find a comfortable place anywhere. He claimed that Linda, who experienced frequent homesickness, wanted me to return to Britain.
Since he had found Linda’s designed home, one free of her depression, he made the decision to sell it along with all the furniture she had furnished it with. Tom now lives by himself in the UK, close to his son and grandchildren.
