Tragedy turned miracle: Her newborn passed away, but after some time, a voice whispers, “I’m alive.”

Genevieve Purinton thought she was alone when she was 88 years old. Genevieve’s large family, which once included eight siblings, has since lost all of its members. She thought she was the only person in the world because she lived in a Tampa assisted living facility.

Contrary to some people, Genevieve was never able to raise children. She was only 18 years old when she became pregnant in 1949, and she later learned that the baby had died. A second child was never born to Genevieve.

Genevieve says, “They told me she was dead. She thought she was the only person in the world and was rather surprised when a woman reached out and claimed to be her long lost daughter.

A hug to make up for lost time is how the reunion is depicted in this video. The two held each other for a while as they struggled. Since they have never actually spoken to one another, this is a significant milestone.

The daughter, Connie, claims that she has wanted to meet her birth mother since she was five years old but has never had the chance. Her most recent DNA test purchase was made through Ancestry.com.

Through the search engine results, she located a long-lost relative who provided the name of her birth mother. Upon discovering her birth mother was still alive, Connie knew she had to meet her.

Despite the fact that this reunion was overdue by 69 years, it ended happily. Genevieve realized she wasn’t as alone as she thought she was once Connie reached out to her. With her daughter, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren in her life, we have no doubt that they will have a ton of adventures to catch up on and memories to make going forward!
