A modern-day rags-to-riches tale, Dolly Parton’s rise from modest beginnings in rural Tennessee to becoming one of the richest entertainers in the world.
The 67-year-old country music legend is well-known and respected for her affable and down to earth demeanor. Over 3000 songs have been written by her.
Through her numerous charitable endeavors and number-one songs, Parton has gained the public’s trust. She will be honored for her musical accomplishments in November 2022 with an induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
However, as is customary, Dolly Parton has been the focus of numerous rumors and theories regarding her personal life, particularly in regards to her health and well-being.
According to reports, Dolly Parton underwent kidney stone and esophagectomy surgery.
In the fall of 2022, numerous reports on social media platforms claimed that Dolly Parton had a “dangerous illness.”. Even life support was reportedly being used for her.
After learning that the accusations were based on a questionable YouTube video, Snopes, a website that verifies information, refuted them. The numerous appearances and performances Parton has made recently show that, despite being 76 years old, she still seems to be in good health.
Furthermore, Parton’s most recent medical problem started in September 2015 after she had surgery to remove kidney stones. She was 69 years old, and the illness was treated right away.
After nearly a month, Parton was compelled to talk about the procedure to put an end to rumors that she had stomach cancer.
“I had kidney stones, yes. The claim that I have stomach cancer is completely untrue; three weeks after they were removed, I’m doing great. I appreciate and adore everyone’s concern,” she remarked.
After years of experiencing gastroesophageal reflux disease, a condition in which stomach acid leaks into the esophagus, Parton allegedly underwent a covert esophagectomy in June 2013 to implant a cutting-edge medical device into her esophagus. In order to stop the development of esophageal cancer, this procedure was performed.
She lost a significant amount of weight, which was attributed to her illness, final surgery, and medication. Despite Parton’s representatives declining to comment on the report, a source claimed:.
Dolly understood that if she didn’t act, she might not survive. She was only able to consume soft, bland foods, was taking antacid medication, and her weight was rapidly declining.
Dolly underwent a partial hysterectomy at the age of 35 after receiving the endometriosis diagnosis.
When endometriosis was discovered in 1981, Dolly Parton was 35 years old. With endometriosis, tissues proliferate outside of the uterus, causing inflammation in the pelvis and other areas of the body. Before the diagnosis, she had been experiencing severe abdominal pain and bleeding for months.
Parton had two procedures to stop internal bleeding before having a partial hysterectomy at age 36 to address the issue. She wasn’t able to get pregnant naturally after the procedure.
She provided the following account of the event:
My mental and physical health reached a breaking point.
I had no trouble getting away with murder. I wasn’t taking care of myself; I wasn’t working out or watching what I ate”.
“Although I worked hard at my job, I also had a lot of emotional and personal problems to deal with. I began crying at that very moment. In actuality, it was a combination of general health issues, stomach, and female issues. ”.
