People frequently dismiss tales of the afterlife as mere myths, but on rare occasions, a particular event brings all those uncertainties and worries crashing together.
This was the situation facing the family of 3-year-old Camila Roxana Martinez Mendoza. Their lives took a tragic turn when they had a terrifying encounter that led them to question their beliefs.
It all started when Camila became ill on a critical day in August. Her worried mother, Mary Jane Mendoza, decided to take her to the doctor because she was vomiting, having stomach pain, and had a high fever.
They went to a pediatrician in Villa de Ramos, where they lived, but he said Camila needed specialized care because of her serious condition. Mary Jane was determined to get her daughter the best care, so she accompanied Camila to San Luis Potosi in central Mexico.
The medical staff attended to Camila’s condition once they arrived at the Salinas de Hidalgo Basic Community Hospital. Her lower body was wrapped in a cool towel and her oxygen saturation was measured with an oximeter.
The doctor recommended paracetamol in the hopes that it would treat Camila’s problems. Her family made the decision to seek a second opinion because she had been getting worse for a while.
The following doctor gave Camila another prescription and suggested she eat more fruit. But it also didn’t work with this strategy. They turned to a different doctor in a desperate attempt for advice, who strongly suggested hospital admission.
Before being taken to the hospital in Salinas, Camila received the care and assistance she needed from medical professionals around nine or ten that evening.
The medical staff attempted to find Camila’s teeny veins so they could administer oxygen and intravenous therapy, but they were unsuccessful.
Before finally inserting the IV, a nurse struggled for some time.
However, it was over after ten minutes, and Camila received some sleeping pills. Before the distraught mother could do anything but surrender the child to the medical staff, he was taken from her and put in a different room.
A short while later, Mary Jane was devastated to learn that her adored daughter had died from dehydration. The day after Camila passed away, the family organized a memorial service to honor her life and give loved ones a chance to console them.
Amazingly, during the funeral, Camila’s grandmother noticed that the coffin’s glass window had locked. Family members forbade her from raising the lid because they thought it was a hallucination, despite her desire to see her beloved granddaughter once more.
As she concentrated, however, she noticed Camila’s eyelids blinking, and to everyone’s surprise, they found a weak heartbeat. There was Camila there!
Camila was brought back to the hospital by Salinas’ medical staff as soon as they could, where they did everything they could to save her. They tried their best to change the unfortunate course of events, but they failed.
Testing revealed cerebral edema as the underlying cause, showing that the problem had gotten too serious. The distraught mother cried, “My baby girl had come to that.”.
My child was content, got along with everyone, and didn’t specifically target anyone, which is why we are upset. Many people on the property loved her, and they helped us.
Contrary to the single mention of the condition in the first death certificate, which was dehydration, the second death certificate listed dehydration along with cerebral edema and metabolic failure.
The theft will prevent Camila from beginning kindergarten this week as scheduled. Mary Jane, who is furiously seeking justice, says, “I want justice to be done, that’s all,” and she is very upset. ”.
Although she has nothing against the medical professionals who sacrificed so much to save her daughter, she implores them to change in order to stop tragedies like this from occurring again.
An investigation into the incident has been opened by the state’s attorney general, Jose Luis Ruiz, and an autopsy on Camila is currently being performed. In an effort to learn the truth and find comfort, the bereaved parents sincerely appeal to the government for justice.
