For the purpose of starting a farm there, the Robinson family purchased a home in a remote location.
Mrs. Dot Robinson was compelled to deliver her second child, a boy, in just four months while still pregnant. They began setting up the child’s room as soon as they moved into the new home so that it would be ready when the new family member was born.
The Robinsons were animal lovers, but since they lived in an apartment and their landlord forbade them from having a dog, they now yearned for at least one puppy.
The couple went to a shelter to pick a dog with their 6-year-old son Matias. They were looking for a non-aggressive puppy that could grow up on the farm with the children.
During the night, a recently adopted stray dog saved a newborn child.
They weren’t sure which puppy to pick after seeing the paddocks and hearing about the tragic stories of some animals.
They passed a pit bull named Benson, who was 4 years old, as they were leaving the neighborhood. He backed up, appearing to have lost all hope in people as his tail was tucked between his knees.
When the Robinson family inquired about Benson, the animal shelter staff informed them that he had a terrible life and gave them more information. After being dumped on the streets after being used in dog fights, volunteers discovered him there.
Benson was a dog shelter resident for a while before being taken in by a couple. After just two weeks, his owners returned Benson to the shelter because he was aggressive toward them and had behavioral issues.
Mr. Robinson insisted on giving Benson a chance, and in spite of the volunteers’ advice not to, Benson was adopted by a family with kids. Benson had trouble walking on a leash even on the road to the car, but they eventually made it home despite his difficulties.
A recently adopted stray dog saved a newborn child in the middle of the night.
At first, Benson was very wary, timid, and reserved. Over time, Benson was able to adjust and develop relationships with each member of the family, particularly Matias.
They brought the infant home from Mrs. Robinson’s birth and introduced him to Benson. After taking a whiff, he gently licked the infant’s face. Benson’s lovely appearance and their compatibility were immediately apparent to the owners.
The Robinsons were startled out of their sleep one night when Benson was only two months old by his loud barking. He continued to bark and try to get into the crib, but was kept out by the safety bars. To get to the baby, he started biting the crib.
When the Robinsons took the baby into their arms, they discovered the infant had stopped breathing, which at first alarmed them because they believed Benson was attempting to harm the child.
At a nearby hospital, where he was later transported, medical staff revived him. According to the doctor, the baby would have perished if he had experienced cardiorespiratory arrest for longer than 30 minutes.
Benson rose to fame and demonstrated that nothing occurs by chance. Benson saved their baby’s life because no one had previously given him a chance before the Robinson family.
