Chrissy Corbitt, a 29-year-old mother, is very familiar with this emotion. Chrissy believed she was an expert on pregnancy after giving birth to two enormous children who each weighed nine and ten pounds.
She didn’t realize that her most recent pregnancy would be very different from all the others. Chrissy and her doctors had a sneaking suspicion that her baby would weigh more than nine pounds early on in her pregnancy.

Larry, the father of the child, explains, “Her belly just kept getting bigger and bigger, like an expanding beach ball. ”.
What a relief! On May 13, 2017, a stunning 13 pounds, 5 ounces of baby Carleigh was delivered via C-section.
Everyone in the delivery room cheered and applauded when they heard this unexpected development. I had never experienced anything like that, Chrissy asserts”.
Carleigh’s unusual size presented an unexpected problem as she was too big to fit into the typical newborn clothes that her parents had painstakingly prepared.
Despite having four previous children and believing themselves to be experts, Carleigh’s parents were taken aback by how big she was.
We ended up giving away everything we had purchased in advance of her arrival at a nearby church, Larry quips in jest. When Carleigh was just three weeks old, she began dressing in infant attire intended for a nine-month-old infant.
Carleigh’s size is undoubtedly impressive, but according to the Guinness Book of World Records, the largest infant to ever be born weighed an incredible 22 pounds at birth, so she is not the current record holder.
However, Chrissy is incredibly proud of her daughter and says, “Carleigh is an incredibly joyful baby, always displaying a radiant smile. I simply can’t get enough of her. ”.
