It can be extremely tense when new family members first meet one another, particularly if they are both so young. On this day, Rowan would get to see his infant sister, it was announced.
His parents weren’t sure what kind of reaction he would have. Rowan is a toddler, just a little bit bigger than his newborn sister. He is conscious of his unwavering love for her though.
Before paying his mother a visit, Rowan takes the time to pick out a small bouquet of flowers for her.
When he gives it to her later, she clearly loves it.
As soon as Rowan’s father enters the room, his mother quickly picks him up off the floor. Inside a tiny glass box, he sees his sister, a tiny sleeping figure.
He is unsure of what to do with his sister as they are placed side by side on the hospital bed. He follows his parents’ lead and gently touches her as they do.
Rowan eventually perfects the art of tenderly stroking her, ensuring that she has a comfortable and sound night’s sleep. Even when her pacifier comes out of her mouth, he helps her put it back in.
Right now, Rowan’s parents are jubilant.
He is overjoyed to have a sister and can’t wait to spend more time with her.
