Princess Diana had some very moving Tina Turner memories, Prince William relates.

Tina Turner dubbed the “Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll,” died. The world is in mourning over the loss of the iconic artist, with fans coming together to share their beautiful memories. From the first song they heard to the first time they saw her perform live, everyone seems to have a different recollection of the well-known singer. Fascinatingly, Prince William has one that stands out above the rest about his late mother, Princess Diana.

During a conversation with Harry and his mother, the future king mentioned listening to Tina Turner in the car a few years ago. He continued, even mentioning the type of music he liked best.

When Tina Turner’s death was confirmed earlier this week, the entire world was in shock. The singer, whose real name was Anna Mae Bullock, passed away peacefully on Wednesday at 83 in her brand-new residence outside of Zurich, Switzerland.

William remembered how his mother would play The Best in the car when he was a young child to calm him down. “Harry and I went to boarding school when we were younger. My mother used to play all kinds of music, Prince William recalled, to distract me from the thought of starting school again.

When we got the policeman in the car, he would sing along too”.

The future monarch went on to say that when they dropped you off at school, you would be singing and listening to music all the way to the entrance gates. Now that I hear it, it reminds me of those car rides and many memories of my mother. William and Harry have always praised their mother in their speeches. On the 20th anniversary of Diana’s passing, the two brothers gathered to pay tribute to their mother.
