When Al Roker, the adored Today Show meteorologist, was hospitalized for blood clots in his legs and lungs, he decided to take a break from his work. He finally made a national television comeback, appearing to be in good health, after receiving therapy for several weeks.
The media personality appears to be taking yet another break for health reasons. The 68-year-old is currently recovering from a total knee replacement.
Roker posted a video of himself moving very slowly down a hospital hallway to his YouTube channel to show his followers how he was feeling after surgery. Roker stated in his blog post on Wednesday, “Up and walking this morning on the new knee step by step”.
He thanked his doctors in the post. He claimed that he was “wearing a negative pressure pump” to speed up the healing of his wounds. ”. The background music of the video is “Walk of Life” by Dire Straits.
He recently joined the ABC News reporter Dorah Roberts on hospital visits, and he shared a touching slideshow of the two of them with the caption, “I’m thinking [Roberts, and I have GOT to stop meeting like this”.

The storied member of the newsroom is doing fine, but his recent illness was difficult. At the time, according to his wife Roberts, her husband’s condition was “very, very critical”.
She added that she dealt with a series of health issues, calling it “one of the most exhausting and difficult things I have ever had to cope with.”. Roberts and Roker’s marriage dates back to 1995. Roberts is 62 years of age. Both Nicholas and Leila are the names of their offspring.
The ABC journalist expressed her wish that such an experience would never befall a family, but she also claimed that it had taught her some important lessons about life. She learned from it that she was capable of taking charge and accomplishing her goals”.
My entire family and I nearly lost it after the crisis was over, she said. “We were uninformed of the adrenaline rush from relentlessly pursuing him.
I didn’t realize how difficult it was until the fog started to lift and the dust started to settle.

Roker claims that his commitment to his work is “more passionate” than ever and that he has no plans to stop.
Roker recalled his father, who had been driving buses since he was 55 years old, had stopped because he no longer enjoyed the job. Roker, however, has found and still finds it to be an incredible experience to be a part of the Today Show. He said, “I can’t tell you how much I’m looking forward to it.”.
